Why the gutters get formed on your driveway
Sectional gutter comes in lengths and is joined every few feet. Every one of those joints is a seam, and a seam is where a gutter eventually leaks. Seamless gutter is rolled out of a coil on site to the exact length of each run, so the only joints on the house are at the corners and the outlets.
That is the whole reason the machine comes to the house. It is not a convenience, it is the difference between a handful of joints and a few dozen.
Soffit and fascia are part of the same problem
Gutters hang off the fascia board. If the fascia has gone soft, the gutter has nothing sound to hang from, and rehanging a gutter on rotten fascia buys a year at most. The soffit behind it is what vents the attic, so when it is blocked or broken the attic stops breathing and the roof above it pays for that.
That is why we quote the three together rather than as separate visits. On most houses that need one, the other two are somewhere on the same spectrum, and finding out afterwards is the expensive version.

Where the water goes after it leaves the roof
A gutter is only doing its job if the downspout takes the water somewhere sensible. Dropping it at the base of the wall puts every roof-load of water against the foundation, which is a basement problem waiting to happen rather than a gutter problem.
So the downspout count and where each one lets go are part of the quote, not an afterthought. On a house that has had a wet corner for years, that is usually the thing that fixes it.

The roof, fascia, gutters, and final replacement window all make my 100+ year old bungalow look amazing. It totally transformed the look of my home. I had 4 different crews (one crew for each job) & they were all professional, polite, & cleaned up after themselves. June 11, 2026: Because I had such great work done in 2024, I contacted Alan again as it was time for a new garage roof (my garage is not attached but separate from my home). Alan came the next day and in less than a month my home and garage have matching shingles (which I didn't even have when I bought it 23 years ago). Again, Alan was super and explained everything to me in a way that I could understand. Erin was a fantastic coordinator and even called me on a Sunday to confirm everything. Start to finish everything was wonderful. Dallas spent so much time with us ensuring all of our concerns and questions were answered in detail and accurately, regardless of the time of day. Adrian was great. I'm a perfectionist so they sent the right man. He wanted everything right before he would leave. He tore out an old tub and gave us a fabulous shower and new floor. We are in the first stage of the process however Alan has been extremely well he explains everything and shows to make sure you understand. Roofing was done quickly and professionally. Crew was very efficient and deliberate enjoyed watching them work. Siding crew was very accommodating and professional as well. This crew ran into some unforeseen problems and solved the issues on the go I was very impressed with the bosses flexibility dealing with issues in construction and foundation problems. Definitely the backbone of the company. The gutter installers were in and gone in half a day very well done as well. Questions homeowners ask us
Do you replace gutters on their own, or only alongside a roof?
Either. Gutters, soffit and fascia are a job in their own right and we quote them that way. They do often get done with a roof, because the fascia is easiest to reach and to repair while the roof edge is already open.
What do the soffit and fascia actually do?
The fascia is the board the gutter hangs on and it closes off the roof edge. The soffit is the underside of the overhang, and on most houses it is where the attic takes in air. Rotten fascia gives you a gutter that pulls away from the house; blocked or damaged soffit gives you an attic that cannot breathe, which shortens the life of the shingles above it.
Are the gutters seamless?
Yes. Each run is formed to length, so the only joints are at corners and outlets. Fewer joints means fewer places for a gutter to start leaking down the back of the fascia.
